A 31ª edição do Critics Choice Awards foi realizada neste domingo (4) e consagrou Uma Batalha Após a Outra como Melhor Filme. A produção dirigida por Paul Thomas Anderson também rendeu ao cineasta os prêmios de Melhor Direção e Melhor Roteiro Adaptado, consolidando o longa como o principal destaque da noite no cinema.
Outro título de forte presença foi Frankenstein, dirigido por Guillermo del Toro, que liderou o número de troféus ao conquistar quatro prêmios, incluindo Melhor Ator Coadjuvante para Jacob Elordi, além de vitórias nas categorias técnicas de design de produção, cabelo e maquiagem e figurino.
Na televisão, Adolescence se destacou entre as minisséries ao vencer Melhor Série Limitada e dominar as categorias de atuação, com prêmios para Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper e Erin Doherty. Já Sarah Snook venceu como Melhor Atriz em Minissérie por All Her Fault.
Entre as séries regulares, The Pitt foi eleita Melhor Série Dramática, com prêmios de atuação para Noah Wyle e Katherine LaNasa, enquanto O Estúdio levou o troféu de Melhor Série de Comédia. Seth Rogen venceu como Melhor Ator em Série de Comédia, e Ike Barinholtz ficou com o prêmio de Ator Coadjuvante. Jean Smart venceu como Melhor Atriz de Comédia por Hacks.
No cinema, Jessie Buckley venceu como Melhor Atriz por Hamnet: A Vida Antes de Hamlet, enquanto Timothée Chalamet ficou com Melhor Ator por Marty Supreme. Amy Madigan levou o prêmio de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante por A Hora do Mal. Já O Agente Secreto, filme brasileiro ambientado durante a ditadura militar, venceu como Melhor Filme Internacional..
